We were founded in 1973 by Ross Flanary when he was 18 years old and found out he had been drafted to Vietnam. He wanted to give himself something to look forward to. After three tours, he returned home and got to work. My dad started working for him in the summer on 1979.
It sounds made up, but my very first memory I can recall it is 1985, I am three years old, and Ross is explaining to me it is my job to watch the machine so dad doesn’t run out of water. I first started working here in 1994 at eleven years old. Once a month I got to stay up late on a school night (!) and we would clean the Red Lobster in Fort Smith. I helped out off and on over the years right up until 2010 when my first kid was born.
